Snowflake

Hi! Isn't it fun - Christmas in July ;) Today I want to share a card made with Sparkle N Sprinkle Crystal Snowflakes Stamp Set #868. This set comes with lovely sentiment and two big snowflakes.
For a start, I colored piece of white cardstock with Royal Aubergine Nuvo Embellishment Mousse  using Nuvo Dual Tipped Blender Brush. After Mousse was dry, I stamped two bolder snowflakes with Versamark ink on top of it and heat embossed them with Gilded Ivory Embossing Powder. I don't know why, but somehow one of the snowflake picked up background color and turned half of it slightly pink. Maybe I added too much heat... I'm not sure. But I am ok with it :)
Rest of the background was stamped with thinner snowflake. Again, I used Versamark ink. Heat embossing was done with Gold Detail Embossing Powder.

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and it is heat embossing with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. It is cut to an oval shape with scissors. Thanks to the frame around the words, it's easy to do.

Snowflake behind the sentiment layer is same thin snowflake from the set. I stamped it with Versamark ink to the white cardstock and heat embossed it with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I colored it with Royal Aubergine Mousse and waterbrush. Then I added White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops to the colored parts and let it dry. It is fussy cut with scissors.

In both sides of the purple background I adhered strips of cardstock which was covered with 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Black Ice Glitter. To the left side of the card base I adhered strip of same Double Sided Tape and covered it with Radiant Gold Nuvo Gilding Flakes. For embellishments I used few dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops (Ebony Black), Double Pearl strip and some white string.

But now I'll tell you a bit about my card. I used Spirit of Christmas Poinsettias stamp set #862. Flower stamps are my favorite. I was very excited to see that this month SNS revealed this lovely Poinsettias set with beautiful sentiments. I decided to make a Double Z-fold card with it.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink to a white cardstock and heat embossed it with Silver Detail Embossing Powder. After die cutting the sentiment I inked the label edges with Weathered Wood Distress Ink. It needed a little more sparkle so I took a Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and draw a frame which I covered with Diamond Dust Glitter. Few dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops (Silver Lining) was also added around the sentiment.
To make the decorative layer behind the sentiment I used Brown Cardstock and Spellbinders Frame One die. This shape was cut in two and adhered behind the sentiment layer.

Second sentiment was stamped directly to the pattern paper. Again, I used Versamark ink for stamping and heat embossed it with Silver Detail Embossing Powder. It didn't show out from the paper as much as I'd like to so I took white Gel Pen and draw lines around the words.

All the flowers was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink to a white cardstock. I used Promarkers to color them. I fussy cut them and left narrow white border all around. I added Diamond Dust  Glitter with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to the flower petals. Centers are covered with Nuvo Glitter Drops (Honey Gold).

One of the pattern paper had very nice splatters on it. I thought to add some dimensional splatters too with Super Thick Silver and Super Thick White Embossing Powders. I love the effect of those EP-s. They are very easy to use too - just sprinkle some to the card and heat emboss from underneath.

For the card base I used brown cardstock. Top edge is die cut with Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders One die. Edges of the lighter pattern paper is inked with Weathered Wood Distress Ink. For darker pattern paper I used Ground Espresso Distress ink.

I had lots of fun of making this card. The next stop on our blog hop is Donna. She has something amazing to share with you.

Tropical Mermaid Alana

Hi! I have one more card to show, made with Sparkle N Sprinkle June stamp set. This time I used this beautiful mermaid from Tropical Mermaid Alana Digi set. If you love Mermaids then SNS has many stamps with different Mermaids. Just visit SNS website and type 'mermaid' into the search box and choose your favorite. But back to the newest...

I used pre-colored image from digital set and made two extra copies of the fish - one is made smaller and other is flipped horizontally. After printing them out I used Versamarker Pen to 'recolor' all fishes and mermaid tale. They ware covered with Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat embossed. Sand was heat embossed with Hit the Beach EP, Versamarker Pen was used here too to help the powder to stay in place while heating. For more sparkle, I added some glitter with Sakura Glue Pen. To Alana's tale I added Orange Surprise Glitter, on her hair and seaweed I used Misty Isles Glitter.
Two fishes are fussy cut and adhered with foam tape. Bubbles on the image are covered with Nuvo Jewel Drops (Sea Breeze).

Sentiment is printed and die cut with Spellbinders Labels Twenty-One die. While the die cut was still in the die, I outlined the inside of the die using a Sakura Glue Pen. Glue was covered with Misty Isles Glitter. I added Nuvo Glitter Drops (Honey Gold and Orange Soda) to little starfish and seashell.

Tropical Mermaid Alana Digi Stamp set comes with starfish and seashell images. I resized them slightly and printed them all in various sizes. Starfishes are covered Honey Gold and seashells with Orange Soda Nuvo Glitter Drops. They are all fussy cut with scissors. I used Tuxedo Black Memento Dual Marker to hide the white cardstock peeking from the sides.

Frame is cut from textured white cardstock. It is inked with Distress inks (Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean and Broken China). To add bubbles to the frame I sprinkled some Magic Speckle EP on top and melted it with heat tool from underneath the cardstock.

Image layer is adhered directly to the card base. Frame is adhered with foam tape.

Flying Free!

Hello my friends! I want to share another Butterfly card made with Sparkle N Sprinkle stamps. This time I used Swallowtail Butterflies Digi Stamps. This set includes lots of sentiments, colored butterflies in different colors, black and white butterflies and it also have a coordinating pattern paper.

I used pre-colored butterflies in two different colors: pink and yellow. Butterflies in different colors are paired up. One set is larger then other. After I printed butterflies out, I 'colored' them with Versamarker pen, covered with Velvet Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat set with heat tool. Then I fussy cut them with scissors (this stamp set includes digital cut file. So you don't have to mess with scissors if you have a cutting machine). Then butterflies was adhered together from the center, I covered their bodies with Nuvo Glitter Drops (Chocolate Fondue).

Sentiment is from same Digital Stamp set. I changed its color to white and placed on top of colorful rectangle. I tried to to my best to mach the color with Peruvian Lily Microfine Glitter. This came out quite well :) After cutting the sentiment layer I added bit of Sakura Glue Pen to the top and bottom edges and then covered it with Peruvian Lily Microfine Glitter. Layer underneath the sentiment is just a strip of white cardstock which is inked with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Squash  Embossing Powder.

For the background I used piece of pink pattern paper. I stamped a big flourish from Flourishes 1 #516 Stamp set couple times with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Squash  Embossing Powder. This EP is semi-transparent. You can see on picture above how different it looks on white cardstock. Edges of the patter paper are inked with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.

To embellish my card, I used strips of paper lace and few large flower sequins. In center of sequins are added Nuvo Crystal Drops (Dandelion Yellow).

I love to add sparkling matting layers to my cards backgrounds. As usual, I adhere 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the edges of matting layer. After placing pattern paper in the center, I covered rest of the tape with Peruvian Lily Microfine Glitter.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Swallowtail Butterflies Digi Stamps #856, Flourishes 1 #516;
GlittersPeruvian Lily (GM2014);
Embossing PowdersSquash (EP445), Velvet Sparkle (EP437);

Baby, Oh Baby

Hi everyone! My card today is showing a new Baby, Oh Baby #857 Digital stamp set.
It was time then I loved to color all the images myself. It has changed and now I really enjoy using pre-colored digis. Then you buy a Digi stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle you will not get only an outline image but also a colored version. So you can choose, which one to use.
Originally this beautiful mom is looking to left. I took an advantage of digital stamps and flipped her to face right. To add a little sparkle to the image I 'colored' flowers with Sakura Glue Pen and covered glue with Merlot Microfine Glitter. Same thing is done with the word 'Joy'.  Sentiment is part of the stamp set. To add more bling to her I also added dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops (Dandelion Yellow) and Nuvo Glitter Drops (Pink Champagne) to her wreath.

Decorative layer behind the sentiment is die cut with Spellbinders die (Lacy Ovals). I covered it with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Squash Embossing Powder. I added another layer of Versamark ink and Squash EP to get even thick layer of this lovely marbled embossing powder. Some dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops (Dandelion Yellow) was added to the frame.

I masked upper part of the background and did some stamping with stamp from Demo Donna's Stylin Sayings #777 set and Versamark ink. Image was stamped repeatedly side by side with variation in how low or high it was stamped.  It was heat embossed with Squash Embossing Powder. White lace was adhered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape. Rest of the revealed tape was covered with Merlot Microfine Glitter.

Background papers are from Watercolor Papers Purple & Pink Digital Papers set. Pink one is cut slightly smaller then yellow paper. I inked their edges with Distress inks (Picked Raspberry for pink and Mustard Seed for yellow paper). Butterflies on the card are punched from same yellow paper I used for bottom layer. After I adhered pink paper on top, you can't even see that it has holes in it.

Materials used:
Stamp Credits: Baby, Oh Baby #857 Digi, Demo Donna's Stylin Sayings #777, Digital Papers Watercolor Papers Purple & Pink (Digi4003);

My favorite stamp set from June reveal is Swallowtail Butterflies #856. It has very beautiful butterflies in two different size and also matching silhouette stamps and many lovely sentiments. Love it!
I stamped detail image of the large butterfly to the Vellum with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Black Detail Embossing Powder. Before stamping I prepared the Vellum with Anti Static Bag to make sure that Embossing Powder only sticks where it should.  Back side of the Butterflies is colored with Yellow Promarker and Lilac Blossom watercolor brush pen from Nuvo Aqua Flow set named Spring Meadow. Right side of the wings are covered with Nuvo Glitter Drops (Honey Gold). After it was dry, I fussy cut it out with scissors. His body is covered with Dimensional Glue and Night Sky Sparkle N Soft.

To make the layer underneath the Vellum Butterfly, I stamped the big silhouette butterfly to the white cardstock with Memento Dandelion ink. Color of the ink is not important because it won't show on the card, unless you peek underneath the butterfly wings. I thought that yellow layer under the Vellum butterfly would be nice but after I cut out the silhouette butterfly I changed my mind. I turned the wrong side up and covered it with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse (Citrus Green). Loved this color more, so green side became my right side. Vellum butterfly is adhered to it from the middle.

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink to the Black Cardstock. I used White Detail Embossing Powder to heat emboss the sentiment.  Black Cardstock was prepared with Anti Static Bag before stamping.

I adhered White heart to the piece of white cardstock which was covered with  2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific TapeOceanic Glass Glitter was sprinkled to part of the heart, rest of it was covered with Margarita Microfine Glitter.

I had so much fun with this purple background. I played with Nuvo Aqua Flow and Glitter Markers. First I applied water to the watercolor cardstock and then added a light coat of  Lilac Blossom with Aqua Flow pen from Spring Meadow set. I also scribbled some purple from Northern Lights Glitter Marker set to the craft mat. I diluted it with water and applied on top of the Lilac Blossom layer. It gave it very nice shimmer. While watercolor paper was still wet I stamped some small butterflies on top with silhouette stamp. Instead of Ink I used same Lilac Blossom Aqua Flow pen.

Background layer is matted on top of the cardstock. It's edges are covered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Black Suede Microfine Glitter.
To add a bit more decorative elements, I adhered paper doily on top of watercolor background and made some dots with  Nuvo Crystal Drops (Neptune)

Materials used:
Stamp CreditsSwallowtale Butterflies # 856;
GlittersBlack Suede (GM2009), Margarita (GM2032), Oceanic Glass Glitter (GG15C);
Embossing PowdersBlack Detail (EP171), White Detail (EP298);
